These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of nameframe.co and your purchase of Nameframe products. The site and the Nameframe brand are owned and operated by Yellow Lab Creations LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company (“Yellow Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Who can use Nameframe
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to place an order. By ordering, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the payment method you’re using is yours, or that you’re authorized to use it.
2. About our products
Every Nameframe is made to order and personalized — laser-engraved with a name, its meaning, and an original poem, beside a photo you provide. Because each piece is custom, please read the Personalization, Photo Uploads, and AI-Generated Content sections below carefully. They explain what we need from you and what we’re responsible for.
3. Orders, pricing, and payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is not accepted until we send you an order confirmation by email and begin production. Until then, we may decline or cancel an order for any reason — for example, suspected fraud, payment issues, pricing errors, or content that violates these Terms.
Pricing. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change at any time without notice. If we discover a pricing or description error after you place an order, we’ll let you know and give you the option to confirm at the corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
Sales tax. We collect sales tax where required by law, including in South Carolina. The tax shown at checkout is our best estimate based on your shipping address.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By submitting payment information, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for the total order amount.
4. Personalization
You’re responsible for the information you submit for personalization, including:
- the name to be engraved (spelling, capitalization, punctuation),
- the photo you upload, and
- any wood choice or other options you select.
Please proofread your order before checkout. We engrave exactly what you submit. We cannot accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for errors in personalization that originate with you — see our Return & Refund Policy for the full details, including what happens if we make a mistake on our end.
You agree not to submit names or other content that:
- you don’t have the right to use (e.g., a celebrity’s name for a product you intend to sell or imply endorsement),
- infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights,
- is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit, or
- contains slurs or content targeting people based on race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, or disability.
We may decline to produce any order that, in our judgment, violates these standards. If we do, we’ll cancel the order and refund you in full.
5. Photo uploads
When you upload a photo to be included with your Nameframe, you represent that:
- you own or have the right to use the photo, and
- you have permission from any identifiable people shown in it.
You grant Yellow Lab Creations LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, modify, and use the photo solely for the purpose of producing and delivering your order. We may also use customer photos in marketing — for example, showing a finished Nameframe — only if we have your separate, explicit consent (which we’ll request).
We delete production photos after a reasonable period following delivery (typically 90 days), except where we need to retain them for support, warranty, or legal reasons.
If you believe a photo or other content on our site infringes your copyright, send a written DMCA notice to [email protected] with: (a) a description of the work; (b) the location of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn’t authorized; (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you’re authorized to act; and (f) your physical or electronic signature.
6. AI-generated poems and name meanings
Each Nameframe includes a short poem and a description of the name’s meaning. These are generated using AI and edited by us for tone and fit. They are creative interpretations, not academic etymology or historical fact, and may differ from other sources you’ve seen. We don’t warrant that any meaning or poem is the only correct version, or that it reflects a particular religious, cultural, or linguistic tradition.
You’ll be shown the meaning and poem before checkout, and by completing your order you confirm that you accept them as written. Once your order enters production, we can’t change the poem or meaning.
7. Our intellectual property
The site, including its design, photographs, text, the Nameframe name and logo, and the underlying software, is owned by Yellow Lab Creations LLC or our licensors and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. Nameframe is a product line of Yellow Lab Creations LLC. Link-A-Charm is a registered trademark of Yellow Lab Creations LLC (U.S. Reg. No. 7,766,193).
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the site or our content without our prior written permission. Personal, non-commercial browsing is fine.
The finished Nameframe you purchase is yours to keep, gift, and enjoy. The underlying designs, templates, fonts, and the AI-generated poem text remain our intellectual property, and you don’t acquire any right to reproduce the design beyond ordinary personal use of the physical product.
8. Shipping, returns, and refunds
These topics are covered in detail in our Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read them.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose,
- attempt to interfere with the site’s operation, security, or other users’ use of it,
- scrape, harvest, or otherwise systematically collect data from the site,
- introduce malware or any other harmful code,
- impersonate another person or entity, or
- use the site to send spam or unsolicited commercial communications.
10. Account security
If we offer accounts and you create one, you’re responsible for keeping your login information secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. Communications
By placing an order, you consent to receive transactional emails about that order (confirmation, shipping, delivery, support). Marketing emails are sent only if you’ve separately opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any marketing email. If we ever offer SMS notifications, separate consent will be requested at that time.
12. Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites or services. We’re not responsible for them, their content, or their privacy practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
We stand behind our craftsmanship. That said, except for the express warranties in these Terms and our Return & Refund Policy, the site and our products are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any AI-generated content (such as a poem or name meaning) will meet your specific expectations.
Wood is a natural material; small variations in grain, tone, and finish are part of the craft, not defects.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Yellow Lab Creations LLC, its members, employees, or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of the site or our products.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms, the site, or any Nameframe product will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Yellow Lab Creations LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) the content, names, or photos you submit, including any claim that they infringe a third party’s rights; or (c) your misuse of the site or our products.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the site is the state or federal courts located in York County, South Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
This section does not prevent us from seeking injunctive relief in any appropriate court to protect our intellectual property or the security of the site.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the site after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms. For material changes, we’ll provide additional notice (such as an email or banner).
18. Miscellaneous
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a sale of the business.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping Policy, and Return & Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site and our products.
